Dreaming the world into being | a response to the Coronavirus
I've been remembering an old exercise that we used to do in a 'Creating the New Earth' group before 2012. It's very simple but really powerful and is for 'dreaming a new dream' for humanity and the earth.
When I remembered this exercise, I had this feeling that right now is the time for us to dig deep and remember everything that we've learnt so far. Use all of the tools in our tool box. Also the rune 'Naud' was there in my head, this is the 'need' rune, and one of it's meanings can be expressed as 'necessity is the mother of invention'. We need to get inventing to find ways to work together to create what we need in the fabric of the dreamtime, before it can manifest on the earth.
Before this current crisis with the corona virus, was the ever increasing environmental and ecological crisis, and the political (what to call that?!) mess. And this is what we found out many years ago when we worked with this exercise - whatever it is that particularly is 'your thing' that bugs you, pains you and upsets you (most of us have one), for example, mine is the pollution of the ocean, for some people it's animal welfare, oil magnates, rain forests or so on, then this is the thing for you to focus on when dreaming a new dream. Right now we have so much material to work with.
This is really a good time to dream a new dream.
'Inka, Hopi, and Mayan elders sit in meditation, envisioning the world they want their grandchildren to inherit - one in which the rivers and air are clean, there's food for all, and people live in peace with one another. They journey along our collective time lines to find a more harmonious future. This is not the probable future, because they already know what that will be: a world much like the one we're now experiencing - filled with pollution, devastation and war. Instead they track for a possible future, no matter how improbable, where people live in harmony with nature, and peace with each other. The sages of old, called this 'dreaming the world into being.' Alberto Villodo, 'Mending the Past, and Healing the Future.'
Let's do it together.
